Trix has a wide experience of shows as a freelance production electrician, lighting designer and a production/technical manager, ranging from modern dance to touring musicals to working with various bands. As a lighting designer Trix has concentrated on site specific and architectural lighting design, predominantly at the Edinburgh Fringe – creating a welcoming atmosphere around the Assembly George Square gardens and George street sites to name a few. Within theatre, she has recently re-lit a Ballet Black tour on behalf of their Lighting Designer David Palter. Trix also led the pre-production of Mark Bruce’s ‘Return to Heaven’ as their production manager and was the technical manager for Greenwich and Docklands festivals in the years gone by.
Her recent work includes touring Bill Kenwright’s Cabaret as a second production electrician, assisting Nick Mumford on various load ins for Qdos pantos as his second production electrician as well as touring Europe with Take That as a lighting engineer. Before Covid messed up everyone’s plans Trix was due to go out on tour with Paul McCartney, culminating with his headline of Glastonbury main stage and then continue on with her summer a site lighting designer for Boomtown, creating their unique atmosphere and looking after one of their ‘show’ areas.
Outside of work, Trix describes herself as very outdoorsy. She is sharing a horse named Hannie who she enjoys spending time with on a regular basis as well as using most of her left-over spare time paddle boarding straight off her houseboat, wonderfully positioned on Eel Pie Island in Twickenham. In wintertime, Trix loves to escape to the mountains with her snowboard and enjoy the crisp air and the incredible views!
